COVID-19 POLICY
Because COVID-19 is extremely contagious and is spread mainly from person-to-person contact, the Cape May County Chamber of Commerce (the “Chamber”) cannot guarantee that guests and attendees of events held by the Chamber will not become infected with COVID-19.
I understand that while the Chamber has undertaken reasonable steps to lessen the risk of transmission of COVID-19 in connection with the event, the Chamber is not responsible in any manner for any risks related to COVID-19. I understand that the World Health Organization has classified the COVID-19 outbreak as a pandemic. I further understand that COVID-19 is a highly contagious and dangerous disease, and that contact with the virus that causes COVID-19 may result in significant personal injury or death.
I release and waive my right to bring suit against the Chamber in connection with exposure, infection, and/or spread of COVID-19 related to my attendance at the Chamber event. I understand that this waiver means I, my heirs, assignees, next of kin and/or legally appointed or designated representatives, to the fullest extent permissible by law, give up the right to bring any claims including for personal injuries, death, disease or property losses, or any other loss, including but not limited to claims of negligence, and give up any claim I may have to seek damages, whether known or unknown, foreseen or unforeseen.
By registering for and attending the Chamber event, I acknowledge and represent that I have read the foregoing Waiver of Liability, and understand it; I am at least eighteen (18) years of age and fully competent; and after full, adequate, and complete consideration, fully intending to be bound by the same. I agree that this Wavier of Liability shall be governed by and construed in accordance with New Jersey law, and that if any of the provisions hereof are found to be unenforceable, the remainder shall be enforced as fully as possible and the unenforceable provision(s) shall be deemed modified to the limited extent required to permit enforcement of the Wavier of Liability as a whole.
