The presentation will show how resources were used to build a Trauma Informed and Responsive Policing Approach to reduce the impact of adverse childhood experiences including partnerships with school officials and other non-profit organizations to collaborate and support youth and help create an environment for them to build resiliency. A similar model can be developed for the business community to improve overall employee productivity and hiring opportunities.\n\n\n\nMethodology:\n\nThe presentation will include an overview of the Adverse Childhood Experiences Study and clips from the film\, "Resilience: The Biology of Stress and the Science of Hope". \n\n\n\nThe presentation will explain how in a large majority of cases\, the root cause of substance abuse\, domestic violence\, and other criminal behavior can be traced back to significant amounts of toxic stress from adverse childhood experiences.\n\n\n\nOnline registration is now closed.
