DESCRIPTION:Dear Friends\,\n\nThe Cape May Point Arts and Science Center is pleased to invite you to a special evening celebrating America's 250th Anniversary on Friday\, July 3\, 2026\, from 7:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.\n\n\n\nThis free community event will bring together history\, wildlife\, science\, and discovery.\n\n\n\nThe evening includes the unveiling of our new Bald Eagle and Golden Eagle Exhibit\, highlighting two of North America's most magnificent birds of prey. Along with an in-depth discussion about America's national symbol presented by Michael and Trish Lanzone. Guests will have the opportunity to explore the exhibit and learn about the biology\, conservation\, and cultural significance of these iconic species.\n\n\n\nVisitors can also enjoy classic summertime refreshments\, including hot dogs and ice pops\, while gathering with friends and neighbors at The Center.\n\n\n\nFollowing the exhibit opening\, guests are invited to our courtyard for a special Fourth of July Courtyard Stargazing Edition led by renowned astrophysicist Dr. Frank Toriello. Dr. Toriello will present an engaging overview of the summer night sky before guiding an outdoor observing session using the Center's telescopes and binoculars.\n\n\n\nAmong the celestial highlights will be brilliant Venus shining in the western sky and the Summer Triangle one of the season's most recognizable star patterns\, formed by Vega\, Deneb\, and Altair. Guests will learn about the science\, history\, and stories behind the summer sky.\n\n\n\nThis family-friendly program offers a memorable opportunity to celebrate a milestone in American history while experiencing the wonders of nature and the night sky.\n\n\n\nAdmission is free\, but advance reservations are required and attendance is limited to 100 guests.
