I have a BFA from Virginia Commonwealth University in Communication\, Arts and Design I am truly a visual thinker. I spent the better part of my adult life in the world of advertising creating campaigns and crafting messages and visuals. \n\n\n\nWhen I paint\, there is a real self satisfaction\, I am creating something I was meant to create. I am free to explore any subject I choose. I am motivated by the unusual things\, the things we may take for granted or things that need to have representation. These quiet treasures become my inspiration. \n\n\n\nI also enjoy plein air painting. It allows me to be in the moment and capture the spirit of the day. I get engrossed in my work and become detached from my daily routines. I enjoy being emerged in the process. The hardest part is walking away from the painting and saying its finished."
